Abstract:
Meloialogyne incognita and
Pratylenchus coffeae are
the major parasitic nematodes of bulbous flowers in Taiwan.
Freesia bud crinkling caused by Aphelenchoides
besseyi was a first report in Taiwan.
Treatment with phenamiphose, chitinous amendment, urea and Ca(CN)2
could reduce the population of M.
incognita and P. coffeae
effectively in order. Field experiments indicated the addition of
urea at 500kg/ha.dossage in combination with PE sheets
mulching have very good control of nematode as same as that by
phenamiphose. Methyl bromide fumigation , 100 g/m3 for 30 minutes, at reduced preseures (50 mmHg) at 18±2
c can kill both nematode and the eggs of Aphelenchoides
besseyi.
